Welcome to the Mumbai Diocese of the Malankara Mar Thoma Syrian Church
The Mumbai Diocese encompasses the states of Maharashtra, Gujarat and Goa in the western region of India and the Muscat region including Sohar. Presently the various centres in this Diocese account for 60 Parishes and 15 congregations.
Rt. Rev. Dr. Geevarghese Mar Theodosius Episcopa is the Diocesan Bishop. There are 60 clergy serving in this Diocese including 2 retired clergy.
The Mumbai Diocese comprises of seven centres -

The Church in this western region of the country spreads over an increasingly multilingual, multicultural and the pluralistic context. It serves as an example of Christ’s love for all humanity.
This Diocese is known as "Missionary Diocese".

The Navjeevan Centre (ISO 9001-2008 certified) is an N G O initiated in 1994 with the aim of reaching out to Commercially Sexually exploited women and their children, to motivate and support them to give up their demeaning occupation and work towards integrating them into society.
Suvartha Pathrika is the triannual magazine of the Mumbai Diocese.
The magazine contains articles on critical issues, and news from across the Diocese. The lastest edition talks about the Transgender Ministry of the Mar Thoma Church, which originated in the Mumbai Diocese.
